Press Release – U.S. Beef Industry Calls to Unify
U.S. Beef Industry Calls for Unified Action Amid Misleading Price Narrative
October 30, 2025
Recent comments by the Trump Administration indicate that Beef prices
are too high. The United States Beef Consumer, through their buying
pattern, has not shown that beef prices are too high, as they have
continued to purchase and enjoy beef. Demand for quality beef is high.
However, the Genie is Now Out of The Bottle. Higher Beef Prices are
dominating the discussion, and the President of the United States has
told U.S. consumers that Beef Prices are too high. The Media at all
levels are now talking about “higher beef prices.”
A tremendous opportunity exists for the Beef Industry to command the
narrative. The U.S. consumer now prioritizes product quality. U.S. beef
is known for its quality and offers many advantages over products from
competing countries, appealing to buyers.
In response to this growing emphasis on quality, the beef industry must
actively promote these benefits to strengthen consumer confidence
and preference for U.S. beef over imported alternatives.
The U.S. Beef Industry should immediately begin expanded messaging
directed at consumers. Immediately develop an informational
marketing campaign supported by all industry associations to inform
the American Consumer of the continued benefits of purchasing
beef raised in the U.S.
THE AMERICAN CONSUMER WANTS TO PURCHASE U.S BEEF!
Every producer knows that the average price consumers pay at the
grocery store for a pound of beef does not reflect the price per pound
the producer receives. Not every consumer knows that. Neither does
the consumer have a good understanding of the increased input costs
producers have faced. Again, this is an opportunity to tell our story.
Contact your Senators and Representatives. Tell them to resist the
Administration’s plans to import Argentine beef and support programs
that promote Beef produced in the United States.
We have spoken with many cattle producers over the last few days,
gaining perspective and understanding. We are a fiercely independent
industry with differing opinions. However, on this matter, we need to
stand together!
