LORRAINE, Kan. – July 18, 2024 – Moly Manufacturing, LLC., in partnership with Jorgensen Land & Cattle, hosted the inaugural Beef & Greet Celebration. Industry leaders from across the country gathered in Ideal, South Dakota to attend the premier event celebrating US Beef.
“The Beef & Greet Celebration serves as an important opportunity for leaders to come together to discuss current issues facing the beef industry and look to the future on how we can collaborate to keep our industry and its producers moving forward,” said Jon Mollhagen, founder of Moly Manufacturing.
Highlights of the event included a ranch and operation tour of Jorgensen Land & Cattle, livestock handling equipment demonstrations by Moly Manufacturing, and a keynote address by Lamar Steiger, owner of The 808 Ranch and founder of Ranch2Retail, a beef supply chain management firm.
“The Beef and Greet was an exceptional event,” said Steiger. “Meeting and engaging with professional ranchers, suppliers, and thought leaders is always worth my time. The Jorgensen ranch tour was spectacular. I was impressed and learned a lot from their focus on the details and innovation.”
Greg Jorgensen, Vice President of Sales, said the foundation of the Beef & Greet Celebration is based on decades worth of mutual business appreciation between the two companies. “Jorgensen Land & Cattle purchased one of the first SILENCER® hydraulic chutes from Moly Manufacturing in 1992,” he explained. “For over 30 years we’ve depended on the safety and efficiency of Moly equipment.”
Chief Livestock Officer, Cody Jorgensen, agreed. “I can honestly say SILENCER® hydraulic chutes and equipment are a game changer for the cattle industry. We could not market over 6,000 bulls a year without Moly equipment. Simply put, we couldn’t handle that volume without it.”
The Beef & Greet Celebration also provided valuable networking opportunities for beef industry professionals to share ideas and strategize ways to collaborate in the future.
“There’s no question the Beef & Greet holds an important role to everyone in the cattle business,” Mollhagen said. “Moly Manufacturing and Jorgensen Land & Cattle have made a commitment to ensure the event continues for years to come.”
